Drayton Valley, Alberta

Alan Dale Schollmaier, a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on August 1st, 2023 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital, at the age of 56 years.

Alan was a dedicated employee, well known for his time spent working at All Choice Rentals. He approached his work with diligence and professionalism, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues. His commitment to excellence was evident in everything he undertook.

Beyond his professional life, Alan was a man of many interests and passions. He had a love for country music, and he had an infectious sense of humor that could light up any room. His laughter was contagious, and he took great joy in making others laugh as well. Alan had a unique ability to find humor in every situation, bringing levity and joy to those around him.

One of Alan's greatest joys in life was spending time with his family and friends. He cherished the moments they shared together, creating lasting memories that will forever be treasured. Whether it was going on vacation or simply enjoying each other's company, Alan adored being surrounded by his loved ones.

Alan had a deep appreciation for GMC trucks and for his prized motorcycle, a Honda Goldwing, that he cherished dearly. These were not just modes of transportation for him; they were symbols of freedom and adventure that allowed him to explore the world around him.

Alan leaves behind his loving and devoted wife, Brenda Schollmaier, who was his rock and constant companion throughout their journey together. He is also survived by his mother Karin (Reg) Hamilton; sister, Sharon Wiltermuth (Randy); mother-in-law, Frances Pelletier, and his brothers-in-law, John Pelletier (Barb) and Wayne (Kathy) Pelletier; nieces and nephews, Erin (Rob), Chelsea (Tyler), Taylor (Mason), Morgan, Tristan (Kristin), Devan (Erin), Matthew, Jennifer (Jordan), along with numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Alan was predeceased by his father, Fred Schollmaier; grandparents, Andy and Emma Freier; aunt, Vera Jacobsen, and cousin, Randy Freier.

Alan Schollmaier's departure has left an immense void in our lives that can never be filled. However, let us take solace in the knowledge that his spirit lives on through the memories we hold dear. His vibrant personality and zest for life will continue to inspire us all to find joy even in the most challenging of times.
