Allen Vogel

Allen Vogel, a beloved member of the community, passed away on October 16, 2025, at Drayton Valley Hospital. He was born on July 23, 1935, in Edmonton and grew up in the Berrymoor district, where he was a familiar face throughout his life. He received his education in Lindale before attending Tomahawk High School, where he lived in the dormitory.

Allen dedicated much of his life to his family's homestead, and he eventually homesteaded his own section 4. His entrepreneurial spirit shone through as he worked as an operator and later founded Crazy Hill Resources, an oil company that he owned and operated with great success. Additionally, he ran a prosperous farm and ranch under the name Inertia Investments Inc. and developed a flourishing gravel business.

Those left to cherish Allen's memory include his sister, Una of Leduc, AB, along with many neighbors and friends who held him dear. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emma and Fred, and his brother Melvin and sister-in-law, Rose.

A Graveside Service will be held at Berrymoor Cemetery on October 24, 2025 at 12:30 PM followed by a Memorial Service at Drayton Memorial Celebration Centre, starting at 2:00 PM.
