Anita Janiszewski (née Schendzielorz), a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026, in Evansburg. Anita was born on July 22, 1946, in Austria, where she spent the first 4 years of her life. She then came to Canada with her parents. Anita's life was marked by warmth, generosity, and a deep love for her family.
Anita was known for her exceptional culinary skills, which created a welcoming home and fond memories. Her children recall coming home to freshly baked buns after school, a memory they continue to cherish. Her kitchen was not only a place of nourishment but also of comfort and love.
She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Paul (Lee-Anne) Janiszewski, and Dave Janiszewski. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Heather Auten (Curtis), Krystle Janiszewski (Kalin), Greg Roy, Randy Janiszewski (Alyssa), and Jax Janiszewski. Anita’s great-grandchildren, Adriana Fedorus, Helaina Roy, Ryker Roy, Kacey Popowich, Karter Popowich, and Cooper Janiszewski, were a source of immense pride and joy for her. Her family will carry forward her memory with love and respect.
Anita was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Anthony Janiszewski; her parents, Helmut and Maria Schendzielorz; her sister, Monika Guest; and her granddaughter, Stephanie Janiszewski. Their memories remain a precious part of her story.
Anita will be deeply missed but forever remembered by family and friends alike.
At Anita's request, no service will be held.
