Cameron Hawkins, born on March 4, 2000, in Edmonton, Alberta, passed away tragically on October 24, 2025, in Drayton Valley, Alberta. He leaves behind a legacy of love for the outdoors and a deep commitment to family and friends.

Cameron was the beloved son of David (Nadine) Hawkins and Patricia (Corey) Sweezey. He cherished his brothers, Clayton and Colton Hawkins, and his step-siblings, Tyler, Tarin, and James Sweezey, as well as step-sisters, Claire Sweezey, Tanis, Alexa, and Jade Lauer. He also had the warmth of his grandparents, Neil and Pamela McCurry, and Floyd and Vivian Lauer, who supported him in all his endeavors. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins, who will remember him fondly.

Cameron was predeceased by his Grandparents, Don and Eleanor Hawkins, Milt Primrose and Marge McCurry.

Cameron was known for his adventurous spirit and vibrant personality. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, riding horses, quadding, snowboarding, and sledding, all of which reflected his passion for the great outdoors. He particularly enjoyed spending quality time with his loyal dog, Moose. Alongside these interests, Cameron found joy in playing rugby, football, and swimming, where he demonstrated both skill and camaraderie amongst his peers.

He achieved significant milestones during his young life, most notably working as a rock truck driver in the Yukon for Tony Beets, a well-known host of the television series "Gold Rush." This opportunity was not only a proud accomplishment for Cameron but also showcased his dedication for hard work.

Cameron's funeral service is scheduled for November 5, 2025 at 1 PM, at the MacKenzie Conference Centre located at 5737 45th Ave, Drayton Valley, Alberta.

In his all-too-short time with us, Cameron Hawkins brought joy to many and will be remembered for his adventurous spirit and the genuine affection he held for his family and friends. His legacy will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him.

Cameron's family wish to express their heartfelt appreciation for all those friends and neighbors who have reached out and supported them during this difficult time.
