Ken Rossman

Charles Kenneth Rossman (Ken), a paragon of cordiality and warmth, left this world on May 30, 2025, just a day shy of his 77th birthday, at the Drayton Valley Hospital. Born on May 31, 1948, in the quaint town of Barrhead, Ken's journey was characterized by a love for life and an unyielding zest for connection.

Ken was not only a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Betty, but also a nurturing father to his children, Laura and Paul (Nicole) Rossman. His legacy blooms through the laughter and joy of his grandchildren, Nicholas, Emmett, Owen, and Amber, who held a special place in his heart. The echoes of family gatherings and shared stories linger, a testament to the bonds he cherished deeply. He is also survived by his brothers, John and Roy Rossman, alongside numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will remember him with fondness.

In his vibrant life, Ken was known to bring people together, often found at various restaurants sharing breakfast with dear friends, exchanging stories and laughter, a daily ritual that encapsulated his love for camaraderie. Ken's heart thrived in nature, finding solace fishing and boating at the Brazeau, where he embraced the tranquility of the water and the thrill of a catch (mostly because they were few and far between).

A masterful cook, Ken had an exceptional talent for smoking meat, crafting delectable pork loin, salmon, turkey, and even cheese. These culinary skills were more than just a hobby; they were a way to express his love and gather family and friends around the table, creating memories framed by the rich flavors of his creations.

Ken Rossman is deeply mourned, remembered not just for his warmth and culinary prowess, but for his ability to forge connections, leaving an indelible mark on the lives he touched. He now joins his parents, Charles and Amy Rossman, along with several siblings who precede him in death. In the hearts of all who knew him, Ken's spirit will forever resonate, a harmony of kindness, laughter, and the beauty of shared memories.

Ken's family would like to acknowledge the care that he received at the Drayton Valley Hospital and the care he received from his community of friends.

Cremation has taken place and at Ken's request, there will be no Memorial Service.
