It is with broken hearts we share that Dale Clarence Willoughby passed away with his family’s love surrounding him, on September 24, 2025. His gentle loving ways will forever be missed by those that were loved by him.

Born on November 30, 1954, in Swift Current, Sask., Dale exemplified a life rich in love, family, and kindness. He was a devoted husband to Christine, with whom he shared a beautiful journey of 51 years. Together, they created a home filled with warmth and laughter, raising three beautiful children: Amanda (Scott) MacKay, Angela (Joe) Hutzal, and Terry (Dallas) Willoughby. Dale's legacy continues to live on in his ten adoring grandchildren: Isabel and Julia MacKay; Olivia, Raya, Matthew and Jacob Hutzal; and Jaelie, Kyan, Sifa, and Miradi Willoughby, each a testament to his loving nature.

In addition to his immediate family, Dale maintained close relationships with his siblings: Brian Willoughby, Suzanne Willoughby, and Deb Miller; and his in-laws and their families.

Dale will be lovingly remembered for his willing hands that were always ready to assist with projects both small and large. A culinary whiz, he was known for his famous salsa, dippy eggs, cookies, cakes and chilli.

Dale is predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Maxine Willoughby, along with beloved family members including brothers-in-law, Greg Miller, Leroy Mastaler, and Ewald Kwirant, sister-in-law, Darleen Kwirant, and in-laws, Allan Ditner, and Jean Ditner.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all friends and loved ones who visited, phoned, brought food, and surrounded them with love during this difficult time. Thanks are also due to Dr. Murphy, Dr. Albakosh, and Sonya Templeton for their care, as well as to Peter Godor and Gail Roddick for their guidance and compassion in honoring Dale and his final wishes.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Dale will be held on September 30, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Drayton Memorial Celebration Centre, 5029-48 Street, Drayton Valley, AB.

Dale’s legacy of hard work, love and the importance of being quiet and gentle in both words and actions will forever echo in the hearts of his family and friends. We carry Dale with us in our hearts, forever and always.
