It is with profound sadness that the family of David Bruce Cropley, long time resident of Lindale, announce his sudden passing on June 6, 2023.
David was an accomplished carpenter and an avid Oiler’s fan that would never miss a game. He enjoyed the simple life and had a strong appreciation for nature, but his family and friends were most important to him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia, of 52 years; his children, Daniel, and Pamela (Darren), five grandchildren, McKenna (Travis) Petrie, Sophie (Tyler) Petrie, Nathan Petrie, Lola (Zach) Petrie, Tucker Cropley, Jesse Kawczak and Austin Kawczak. He also leaves to mourn, his siblings Kim (Peggy) Cropley and Judy Weir.
David was predeceased by his parents, Bruce and Margaret Cropley, his brother, Robert Cropley, brother-in-laws, Millson Matlock and Ron Matlock, and in-laws, Clarence and Rita Matlock.
The Cropley family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the first responders and Breton RCMP officer on duty the night of Dave’s passing. The RCMP officer will forever hold a special place in their hearts as he supported the family during a time of immediate sorrow.
A celebration of Life will be held at the Genesee Community Hall at noon, on Saturday June 24, 2023.
In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s memory can be made to the:
