Florence Harrison

With a deep sense of sorrow and loss, the family of Florence Harrison (nee Schoepp) announces her passing on October 28, 2023, at the Drayton Valley Hospital.

Born in Stony Plain in 1937, Florence’s family later moved to Tomahawk where Florence met Ben Harrison whom she married in 1958. It was at the Harrison family farm where Ben and Flo eventually settled to raise their family until Ben’s untimely death in 1978. Florence continued to live on the farm until her marriage to Leonard Richter in 1984. She and Len lived in Edmonton
until Len’s passing in 2020 after which Florence moved to Drayton Valley, finally settling at Points West Living Retirement Community. Here she was well cared for not just by the staff but especially by her devoted daughter, Deanne.

In addition to extended family and friends, Florence will be lovingly remembered by her children, Dean (Lori) Harrison and Deanne (Todd) Sullivan; siblings, Gary (Carolyn) Schoepp and Dolores Stewart; grandchildren, Jesse and Brad Bobey, Leslie Harrison, Samuel Harrison, Kimberly Sullivan and Nicole Sullivan; and great grandchildren,  Paizley Sullivan, Bennett Bobey, and Everleigh Bobey. Florence was very proud of her family and loved them very much.

Florence was predeceased by her parents, Charlie and Marie, and brother Wayne.
