Ida Maureen O'Rourke

Ida Maureen O'Rourke, a beloved community member known for her bright personality, has sadly passed away on March 21, 2024, at Drayton Valley Hospital. She was born on April 2, 1955, in Oakville Ontario.

Ida had a zest for life and a diverse range of hobbies and interests. She found joy in spending summer days tending to her flowers, as well as indulging in activities like knitting, quilting, playing cards, bingo, traveling, and caring for animals.

She will be dearly missed by her surviving family and friends. Ida is survived by her children Shane (Tonia) Seehaver, Gordon (Stacy) Seehaver, Christina (Steven) Ercolani, and Katrina (Mike) Seehaver. She was also a loving grandmother to Shayla Seehaver, Gavin Seehaver, Keith Seehaver, and Blake Seehaver. Among those mourning her loss are her siblings Dianne, Patricia, Sandra, Sherry, Burton, Lester, Shawn, and Timothy.

In eternal memory of Ida Maureen O'Rourke are her parents Lawrence and Lillian O'Rourke. Additionally, she is reunited in spirit with her sister Maureen and partner Raymond.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on April 2 at Drayton Memorial Cremation & Funeral Services in Drayton Valley. The event will commence at 4:00 PM to honor the beautiful life Ida lived. The family asks for attendants to please wear bright and colorful clothing, as per request of Ida.

May Ida Maureen O'Rourke's light continue to shine through the cherished memories she leaves behind with all who knew and loved her.
