James (Jim) Waite, born on March 27, 1955, in Great Britain, passed away peacefully at home on February 7, 2026, with his beloved wife, Dorothy, by his side.

A dedicated Security Guard for many years, Jim exemplified commitment and service in both his professional life and his military service as an Officer in the UK armed forces. His dedication to duty was matched only by his deep affection for his family and friends.

Jim had a passion for collecting and watching films, amassing a large video collection that brought him joy and entertainment. His love for cinema was well-known among those close to him and served as a cherished means of connection with family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy, and his children: Shirley Waite and James (Amy) Waite. Jim took great pride in being a grandfather to Reece Reed Waite and Dominic Waite, as well as a step-grandfather to Autumn-Dawn Boyne, Samantha Boyne, Jessica Boyne, Alexandra Boyne, and Dorothy Simms. He also cherished his step-grandson, Daniel Simms, and his great-grandson, Grayson Barton.

Jim will be missed by family, which included his brothers Steven (Sandra) Waite, Kevin Waite, and Thomas Waite, along with his sisters Doreen Roe and Shirley (Darren) Hart. He also held a special place in his heart for his stepsons Joseph (Doris), Robin (Hayley) and Wesley Boyne, as well as his stepdaughter Sonia (Andrew) Nicholas.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Waite Sr., mother, Theresa Waite, and sister, Margaret.

Jim's legacy of love, strength, and dedication will continue to resonate within the hearts of those he leaves behind. His presence will be sorely missed, yet his memory will live on through the many lives he touched.

The family would like to thank First Responders, neighbors and Drayton Memorial for being supportive during this time.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim's memory can be made to a charity of one's choice.
