In loving memory of Leonard Claffey, a devoted family man who passed away suddenly at Drayton Valley Hospital. Leonard, born on April 9, 1964, left behind a legacy filled with love, compassion, and dedication.
Leonard was a pillar in his community, known for his unwavering commitment to his work and the relationships he nurtured. As the Manager of the Credit Union, he touched countless lives with his integrity and professionalism. His impact will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Outside of his professional life, Leonard found joy in hunting and archery, hobbies that allowed him to connect with nature and unwind from the demands of everyday life. His appreciation for the outdoors reflected his inner strength and spirit.
Leonard's kindness knew no bounds, as he deeply cherished his family and friends. He leaves behind a loving wife, Zina, children Clayburn and Jakob (Courtney), five grandchildren - Eliza, Cormac, Lyra, Teia, and a baby on the way due in May. His memory will be carried on by his mother Shirley Adam, and he will be fondly remembered by his mother-in-law Beulah Bailey.
In addition to his immediate family members are his sister Carla Coubrough (Cory), nieces and nephews - Cara (Chris) Nagy, Craig (Christa) Coubrough, Richard (Criss) Hartley, Tyron Hartley, Lana (Justin) Solberg, Devin (Ashley) Bailey, Daniel Bailey, Bobbie (Perry) Richards, Gregory (Crystal) Giraudier, James (Toni) Giraudier, Gennene (Derek) Mangel. He is also survived by great nieces and nephews - Ceisten, Cace, Caelix, Clarke, Collyns, Emily, Alex, Kobe, Tenley, Jake, Aurora, Robert, Lily, Adaline, Olivia, Jack, Levi, Vivienne, Harlow, Lawrence, Dolly as well as sister-in-laws Donna (David) Hartley, Wanda (Grant) Giraudier, and brother-in-law Donald (Rhonda) Bailey.
Leonard's warm heart and genuine smile will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. A Memorial Service to celebrate Leonard's life will be held at the Clean Energy Technology Centre in Drayton Valley on February 24, 2024 starting at 1:00 PM.
May his soul rest in peace as his memory lives on in the hearts of those who loved him.
