Mary Gale Jamieson, a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026, in Drayton Valley. Born on January 28, 1946, in Salmon Arm, Mary lived a simple and fulfilling life, marked by her affectionate nature and her enjoyment of life's quiet pleasures.

Mary was known for her warm and down-to-earth spirit, which she generously shared with all who knew her. She found joy in the simple moments, often traveling around the back roads of Salmon Arm; there wasn't a road Mary didn't know. She especially loved springtime, and seeing all the newborns on the farms. These drives were a time of reflection and appreciation for the world around her, as well as to enjoy a good mocha. Mary enjoyed raising chickens, and especially her donkeys, during the many years she had them.

She leaves behind a loving family who will remember her with great fondness and respect. Her daughter, Stacey Blatkewicz (Dale), carries forward her legacy of kindness and strength. Mary’s heart was further enriched by her grandchildren: Dallas Blatkewicz, Alyssa Wellicome (Brett), and Justin Blatkewicz. Her great-grandchildren, Sophia Blatkewicz, Charlee Blatkewicz, Harley Wellicome, and Fraya Wellicome, were a constant source of happiness and pride for her. Her family will cherish her memory deep in their hearts.

Mary is also survived by her siblings, who stood by her throughout her life: Sue Ward, Nancy Burke (Wayne), Larry Jamieson (Georgina), and JoAnn Gollan (David). Their bond was a testament to the values of family and support that Mary held dear.

Throughout her years, Mary exemplified a life well-lived through simple joys and deep family connections. Her memory will be treasured by all who had the privilege to know her. She will be remembered as a loving mom and grandma whose presence brightened the lives of those around her. Mary's life was a reflection of warmth, simplicity, and devotion. She will be deeply missed and long remembered by her family, friends, and all who were touched by her kindness.

The family would like to thank the Drayton Valley Hospital staff for the care and compassion they provided during Mary's final days.
