Stirling William Delitzoy

It is with great sorrow that the family of Stirling William Delitzoy announce his passing on August 14, 2026. Born on March 5, 1973 in Burns Lake, BC, he spent his life doing what he loved with joy and passion.

Stirling was a beloved brother to Gene Delitzoy and a cherished uncle to Sasha and Logan Delitzoy, who survive him. He also leaves behind his cats Minxy and Merlin, who were very dear to him. He was preceded in death by his parents William Delitzoy and Beverley Platz.

Stirling was an hockey player, pilot and outdoorsman at heart and found great joy in the rhythms of farm life, embracing the land and the opportunities it offered. Whether tending to the farm or simply enjoying the beauty of open spaces, he felt most at peace surrounded by nature. Stirling will be remembered for his generosity and the strength he shared with those fortunate enough to know him. His legacy will live on in the lives he touched and the memories held dear by his family and friends.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, August 29th, 2026 at 1pm at Drayton Memorial Celebration Centre. It will be a time for family and friends to gather, share stories, and reminisce on time spent with Stirling.
